SWISS BODIED 1937 CADILLAC SET FOR PEBBLE BEACH CONCOURS

"Go big or go home."

Perhaps that's how thirties bon vivant Philippe Barraud approached a new commission with Swiss coachbuilder Hartman of Lausanne to combine Caddy V16 power on a 22-ft flamboyant two-seat convertible.

After years of neglect, however, the massive Cadillac found its way to the Blackhawk Museum wearing chrome spears in place of painted mouldings and what some might call a paint scheme known as "resale red." Kentucky collector Jim Patterson acquired the vehicle in 2015 and retained RM to complete a full restoration to original configuration.
