FAMILY DUESENBERG SETS AUCTION RECORD

It all began in 1948 when my father acquired a 1923 Model A Duesenberg sans coachwork. An era-correct Caddy touring body was subsequently installed and off we went over four decades of happy family touring. A full restoration was completed in 2010 and the Duesy went on to win numerous awards and published articles including an awesome piece in The Wall Street Journal. But the time had come to part with our beloved family treasure, and in 2015, she fetched $374,000 at the RM Hershey auction to the Off Brother collection in Ann Arbor MI.

Jumping ahead to this year's Monterey, our Duesy wound up on the auction block once again at the 2017 RM-Sotheby's auction in Monterey where it notched another world record for the model: $407,000! Stephen Brauer of St. Louis is the proud new owner and I couldn't be happier to see her in such capable hands.

I am also very pleased to offer another stunning Model A Duesenberg on behalf of a California collector. Pebble Beach winner and 100% authentic including coachwork. Check it out.
